Women’s and Children’s Self Defense and Empowerment Seminars
“It’s about knowing how to defend yourself and deciding you are worth defending!”
Classes explore the role of Women in society and how the submissive and “ladylike” roles that are taught can lead to domestic violence and sexual assault. Mental exercises focus on the cognitive restructuring of attitudes and behaviors in order to attain dominance in social situations. Physical exercises involve practice with self-defense techniques. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Teri Vodden has a particular interest in helping people to feel empowered and confident.
