Our program is family run and operated, and is specially designed for families to have the chance to train together. Our close-knit group offers a strong sense of community, and a high level of care and attention goes into the training of each student.

Develop Respect for Authority and Self

Soo Bahk Do is a traditional Korean Martial Art that promotes self-discipline, confidence and respect. The philosophy taught in class involves respect for self and for others, especially “Seniors.” Students are expected to use the skills learned in class constructively and defensively and never to be abusive or offensive.

Improve Brain Functioning
Martial Arts have been proven to enhance Neurodevelopment. Training is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with brain injuries, attention deficit disorder, autism or trauma. The highly structured activities and constant repetition are aimed at increasing memory retention. Teaching techniques utilize visual, auditory and kinesthetic modalities. Improved School Performance is an expected result.

Self Defense

Practical skills are taught and reinforced by repetition and opportunities to practice in multi-age, multi-level classes.

Women’s and Children’s Self Defense and Empowerment Seminars

“It’s about knowing how to defend yourself and deciding you are worth defending!” Classes explore the role of Women in society and how the 
submissive and “ladylike” roles that are taught can lead to domestic violence and sexual assault. Mental exercises focus on the cognitive restructuring of attitudes and behaviors in order to attain dominance in social situations. Physical exercises involve practice with self-defense techniques.

Class Schedule: Multi-age, multi-level classes
Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 AM

Introductory special of $30.00 includes:
2 private lessons, 1 group lesson, plus a free uniform!
